A CD's title,

His yearly bid.

First to the field

Last to leave

Unless he's on buisness

At...Tel Aviv (for example)

If you seek him in winter

Though he bought the farm,

He's still playing indoors

Keeping strong his arm

(In case it has to do double-duty)

The guy's an example

For young & old

His bat of aluminum

And glove of gold (actually brown)

It's an honor for me

Without hesitation

To be this man's

Inspiration

A prophet?  A sage?  A legend?

A squid?

Perhaps he is these;

We just call him "The Kid"
